Newbie Developer Question

Hi, I inherited a WordPress website, and one of my tasks is to post a monthly newsletter on two pages. In other words, someone emails me the PDF, I upload into wordpress media, then update the link to it in 2 different places (pages) on the site. Being a developer in my day job, I was curious to know if I can set something up where the person generating the newletter can email a ‘known’ email account, and postie (or something else?) receives the email and takes the attachment, adds to media, then updates the link, all programmatically. I’m too new to know if this is 1) easy, 2) hard, 3) pie-in-the-sky.

Just looking for a short cut, if someone out there knows that it can be done fairly easily, what would be my steps?
