  • To design the website myself using a paid theme from Theme Forest

Installing a Commercial Theme and ‘Designing’ a site are not the same monkey. Commercial Themes are not supported here.

Using Xampp for local designing and then uploading to domain when finished

Again, these themes will have limited ‘design’ capabilities.
    I prefer WAMP.

TF is well used, not known to be untrusted. Support is another issue..

Please explain part 2 a bit better – explain ‘service’.

    Thanks for your reply..

I do not want support for paid theme.. just asked whether a paid theme will do good.. 🙂

    Will try WAMP then..

Explanation for Register & Login feature :
I want to have a registration page displayed for my new leads where they can register for my service with the following fields..
Name, Contact number, Address, User name, Password

When they have entered the credentials and registered.. i can either get a mail or the details can be saved in any data base on the domain.

After which my clients can Login with the user name and password to enter into a page where they can see their details like a profile which shows the following details
Name, Contact number, Address, User name, Password and the plan they have subscribed.

And they can also write comments on my blog posts by login with their credentials.

    Hope this was explanatory.

    “Cheers

Themes are only as good as their authors and support are, paid or free. I haven’t heard many bad things about Theme Forest, and I haven’t used them myself so I can’t comment on them. if the theme suits your purpose then it’s mostly alright, but that’s going ot be up to you to decide when you get around to purchasing it.

As far as the registration and details pages, there’s some plugins around that do members-only areas of the site, so that’s probably a starting point. The main one that I know of (but I haven’t used it yet) is S2member, but there’s a lot more that do something pretty similar.

When I inquired about ‘Service’, I meant: What are they signing up for? A Blog? A site with paid content? It matters as there will need to be varying levels of security and support based on what your site offers…based on which further advice can be given…uou can be generic in the reply, by give an idea of what the site is intended to offer as a ‘service’

Thank you catacaustic for your support 🙂

    @seacoast Web Design :
I run a technical support company which provides services at a price.
So i will be having a page with plans, when my clients clicks on it, they get redirected to my Paypal account.

Yes, the security level of the details my clients enters must be high.

I just want a register and login feature where,
when one of my leads registers, i will get all their info and they can login with their username and password and view their own details and the plan that they have subscribed and its validity as well as post comments on my blog.

    “Cheers
