    my domain is natesyouthtips.com
When I go the site it automatically defaults to my blog posts. I want it to be the home link.

I went to admin/settings/reading and clicked the static page button. Then I selected a page I created called Home. Then I put my blogs posted to a page called Blog. However, when I update it and visit my site the front page is still the blog posts and they are now on the created home page.

you don’t title the static “Home”
edit it – remove the title, leaving it blank – save it
now select the blank title as your home page

then admin – settings – permalinks
    re save the permalinks

Thanks for your help so far, however, I am still confused. I’m sure I am not explaining well. Let me try again.

I took away my static page titled home and I changed it to NYT for now.

I want my NYT page to be the first page you see when you go to http://www.natesyouthtips.com. However, right now it is going to my blog posts.

In my admin/settings/readings page I have selected front page display as a static page. Then I selected my front page as NYT on the pull down menu. then I selected BLOG as my posts page. After updating that when I go to http://www.natesyouthtips.com I still see my blog posts??

Does that make sense (i’m trying-lol)

    try updating the permalinks

what do you mean by updating permalinks?

    admin – settings – permalinks
    resave them
