Hello Moshu
Sorry but after reading the introduction I think that blogs are not what I really need. My site is going to be about travel and I intend to put adsense on the pages. Blogging doesn’t sound like it’s the best for this. What do you think ??
Thanks again
Roy
Before thinking about adsense… with all due respect, you should clarify WHAT do you want.
Sit down with a piece of paper and make a draft of your future site’s structure: like sections, webpages etc.
Then decide whether you want a static (=html) or dynamic (e.g. PHP/MySQL) site. Things to consider: how often and how it will be updated? How often do you have to change the content or add new content?
If static (html), do you have the knowledge to handcode every file?
If dynamic – which CMS (content management system) would fit the best your requirements.
Whether it’s about travel or my shoe szie… the thinking, planning process is the same.
WP can power blogs or non-blog websites and many things in between.

Hi again Moshu
Wow…..does that sound difficult !
The terminology you have used is…well…meaningless to me. No idea what “static” & “dynamic” is or the other words.
I intend to write most of the content myself… as I have read it is the best way to get Google to put adsense on the site. My other intention is to write at least 50 pages before I approach Google for an account, once again because of what I have read (get traffic first etc.)
Also I will continually add pages as the weeks and months pass on.
From what I have also seen most hosting companies have everything I would need…all these things a bit like you mention(terminology stuff). Some also have “web page builders” which would also help me.
So that’s it.
Roy
Sorry to bring the bad news: if you want to be a “webmaster” = having your own website… you’ll have to learn at least the basic terminology – and a little bit beyond that.
And again, your approach is upside down 🙂 Don’t worry about the Google until you know what are you doing. Don’t waste your time reading all kind of BS about adsense. Read about the basics of having and maintaining a website.
What you described it’s easily done with WP. With some work and diligent learning 😉
