Newer version vs older version

    I have been tasked with taking over and updating a client website. Visual Composer addons is used. It is version 1.4. The Visual Composer version is 5.1.1. On the development server I cannot update the main Visual Composer plugin because the license is not attributed to that URL. But when I update to the latest version of addons, all the addons break. When I view element there is no JS being attached to things like post carousel. My question is. Do you know if it is just because I need the latest version of Visual Composer? If that is all it is then I will just wait until I am on the live site to update that. I just wanted to be sure because if not I might have to do some more debugging.

    It is been sometime since 5.1.1 was released. At present I am not sure if latest version of the addons plugin is compatible with 5.1.1 although I am little surprised that it breaks.

    I would suggest you wait until the latest version of VC before updating if things are failing right now. Thanks
