Newly installed Plugins not showing?

    Hi,

    I’ve just installed a couple of YouTube plugins (I only want one but the first didn’t show up).

    Neither of these plugin’s are showing in my WordPress Control Panel but when I go to my FTP software (Filezilla) I can see the plugins in the WordPress Plugin Folder.

    My hosting is with HostGator in case this is relevant.
    Could anyone tell me how to fix this?

    Perhaps those plugins are not compatible with WP 3.1?

    That’s a good point.

    I’ll delete them from my FTP but I find it curious that I cannot see the plugins in WordPress itself; so I can’t delete from my Control Panel – do you know if this is usual?

    Not normally. I’d expect to see them listed in the Inactive Plugins but, in theory, if they’re really old, they may not show up at all.
