Next/Prev post thumbnail

Hello!

I am trying to do add the images to the previous and next posts. Following this thread – https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/next-previous-in-one-row/page/2/ and added the code in the functions.php. However, nothing changes and it seems that something is not working exactly as expected. Help would be highly appreciated.
