Been searching for hours to find a way to display the post excerpt / first chunk of a post with the post title in the next / previous links.

The title is easy enough… anyone have any ideas how to get some of the content in there too?

I did find one plugin but there was no option to add the actual content or excerpt… just the thumb.

you could try and use get_next_post() or get_previous_post() resp to get the post excerpt:

for instance:
```
<?php $nextpost = get_next_post();
$excerpt = $nextpost->post_excerpt ? $nextpost->post_excerpt :apply_filters('get_the_excerpt', $nextpost->post_content);
echo $excerpt; ?>
```
