    Hey Nick,

I’m the Community Manager for All in One SEO Pack. I’m just checking in on this plugin to see where things are at with its development and how well it’s supporting migrations from other services to our plugin.

Do you have an ETA on any updates or changes? Do the developers have any questions for us?

I want to recommend the plugin to those who want to migrate, but I’m somewhat concerned about recommending it, but it not working effectively. So, I’m just reaching out to say hey and see what kind of things are in the works.

    Let me know.

    Thanks.

    Hi Tony

It’s lovely to hear from you! Thank you for your note and questions.

I don’t currently have any release information I can share, but we’re always happy to receive bug reports and suggestions for improvements, especially from other developers and plugin communities.

There are no open issues with the plugin and All in One SEO Pack at this time. If you’ve discovered an issue you’d like to report, you’re welcome to post here, or share info directly in the plugin’s GitHub repo at https://github.com/copyblogger/seo-data-transporter.

If there’s anything more I can do to help, please let me know.

    Hey Nick,

Glad that things are working well. I know that someone is used the plugin yesterday to convert from Yoast to AIOSEO. They said something like, “Yoast changed some information,” but he didn’t elaborate and was still successful.

I’ll ask him what he meant and see if that needs to be reported on the Github repo.

There was a pretty massive bug issue with the latest Yoast update and lot’s of folks were looking for a solution to transfer over to AIOSEO. Just wanted to make sure you guys were on top of this plugin, as I’m now pushing it as the way to convert.

Thanks for following up with this info, Tony. You’re welcome to file any issues with steps to reproduce them if you encounter anything new – we appreciate the feedback!

Thanks again for reaching out to us, and let us know if there’s anything more we can do to help.

So do you recommend using this plug-in even though it is not compatible with WP 4.4? I really need to get Yoast off my site-I am done with them.

    Deborah,

First, as with any addition or removal of a plugin, I would test this in a staging environment first.

I don’t know that it’s not compatible with 4.4. While 4.3.1 is still listed here, you should try it in staging first.

Remember, this is only a data transporter and is not an actual plugin to run your SEO. So if it works to transport the primary data you need in staging even though it’s still listing 4.3.1. compatibility, then you should be okay, because it’s just a one to one data migration from one plugin to the other.

This is for SEO data only and I don’t believe that social meta has yet been including in this plugin, so you want to check that too.

Thank you TonyZeoli. I tried it-it worked. I ended up transferring the stuff back to WordPress SEO for now. Not ready to switch. I will see if Yoast fixes their problems.
