NextGen 2.0.17 and Lightbox 2 from WordPress

    @eeve71: just a quick questions on this. Did you try setting the NextGEN lightbox effect to “No Effect” (under Settings > Other Options > Lightbox Effects) while having your lightbox plugin active?

    Yes, this will have no effect, images just open as new site with black background http://blablabla.bla.xyz.jpg It does not set the WordPress Lightbox Plus as default. 🙁

    Thanx for reminding me about this, yeah I had problems with the default lightbox.

    I got mine working just now how I like.

    I didn’t make any changes to nggallery at all in regards to the effects.

    Based on a old reply of mine, give the following a try :

    Lately I’ve been recommending the following :

    Now I use jQuery Lightbox (balupton edition).

    http://balupton.github.com/jquery-lightbox/demo/

    You’ll see the download.

    After the plugin has been installed you find jQuery Lightbox in the setting section of the admin bar.
