The site owner was trying to export a list from the member directory tool, plugin is called Connections. It is always an empty CSV file. I duplicated the problem. I then tried to export posts from the standard WordPress > Tools > Export function. Same thing, empty file.

I then went through the exercise of deactivating / activating plugins to try to isolate a conflict. It is the NextGEN Gallery plugin. Activated, empty export files. Deactivated, exports are fine. And I am referring to the Connections export tool and WordPress export tool for these empty files.

WordPress 5.2.4 and plugins are all up-to-date. Running on Linux server with PHP 7.3. Memory limit is set to 256MB. This is a small-town, low traffic site.

I’ve duplicated the problem on a couple other sites also running WP 5.2.4 with all plugins up-to-date. Those I simply tested the standard WordPress > Tools > Export feature. Same thing. NextGEN active, empty export file. Deactivate NextGEN, export file has data.

    Please help.

  • Hello @krackmedia,

Thank you so much for that detailed information and testing.

We’d like to take a closer look at the conflict with Connections export option. We may need to temporarily deactivate plugins and switch the theme while troubleshooting. Would you feel OK with that? If so, please send us a bug report here: http://www.imagely.com/report-bug, refer back to this forum thread and let them know Gaby referred you.

    Many thanks.
