NextGen conflict

    Hello:

    I use both the latest polylang and NextGen versions.
    When polylang is activated, NextGen gallery and album links return to the main page.

    When disactivated, all is fine.

    Here is the URL: http://www.sarsfield.org/wp/?page_id=258

    I tried using two different methods. The first is a direct link to the gallery. The link doesn’t work. For the second album, I tried a workaround that brings you to a separate page with a gallery widget, but clicking on images within the gallery also brings you back to the main page.

    Is there a setting I can change so this issue does not happen?

    The problem is coming from Nextgen Gallery creating an url with two / like this: yoursite.com//albums. At some point Polylang passes this url to a WP function which tells that this url is wrong and needs to be redirected to the right one (with only one /).

    The Nextgen Gallery team attempted to fix the bug in v2.1.0 but did not succeed. They requested a modification in Polylang which I cannot do (at least not in a minor version as there are risks to break other things).

    So the current status is that NextGen Gallery and Polylang are not compatible.

    That’s unfortunate. Are you aware of a similar library that integrates well with polylang?

    Sorry I don’t use a gallery plugin myself so did not test any other.

    I made NextGen Gallery work with Polylang in the past (before 2.0) due to the popularity of this plugin.

    I however don’t advise you to use older versions. Maybe its fork Nexcellent Gallery is still working.
