I was doing some speedtests on client site, http://steelvalleyrugby.com, and noticed the page load was taking a while. I did a page speed test on gmetrix.com and it was taking over 60 seconds for all things to load. The site is under 500kb for front page then I looked at timeline and noticed something very strange. A few of the jquery scripts trying to load for NextGen Gallery were trying to load from my local server address at home, for example, http://10.0.1.218/wp-content

Before reinstalling NGG, I deleted all the tables from database on live web server and deleted nextgen-gallery folder in my plugins folder. Any idea why this is happening and what I can do so that it’s not trying to load those scripts that don’t even exist? I checked my header.php and functions.php file to see if there was static links referring to local web server address but there was nothing. NGG is the only plugin trying to load local server address.

Here’s a report from gmetrix in pdf. page load report

@aadf82 – This reads like a migration issue with Lightbox Effects we discuss in our FAQ article: http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/galleries-opening-lightbox/

See if that helps sort out the issue for you.

    Cais,

Thanks for the help and the link. I went to each lightbox effect and manually changed the CSS and JS addresses to point to my live site domain.

For those with a similar problem, after I changed the addresses in CSS and JS, I enabled each lightbox effect and checked to make sure they were working. Be careful when changing the addresses and keep a backup of the original settings in a text file just in case you make a typo and lose the information.

My site is now loading fast and correctly with each lightbox effect.
