I’m creating a new website with wordpress using the NextGEN Gallery Plugin. When I’m creating a post with only a short text and a picture gallery, the code of NextGEN Gallery (order_by=“sortorder“ order_direction=“ASC“ returns=“included“ maximum_entity_count=“500″]) becomes visible in the post preview on the frontpage of wordpress.

On this page you can see the problem: https://asitalica.ch/fotos/. On the overview of the post the codes are visible.

Is there anywhere a setting for hidding these codes on the frontpage?

    Thanks for your help.

@nabalu – In some instances there are issues with using the [ and (more specifically) the ] characters in the show slideshow link text parameter, please try removing those.

If that does not correct the issue entirely, it may be a case where your theme will be requiring you to create a post excerpt rather than allowing the default WordPress excerpt to be used (which is something in theming much more than it is within plugins).

    Thanks!

@photocrati It works! I removed the [ ] brackets around the show slideshow link and now it’s working as is should.

    Thank you for your help.
