    Hi,

    I have searched the forums, looked at the documentation, and googled, but I cannot find an answer. I have installed NextGEN Gallery and it does not want to work with my Permalinks. I can click on the first image, but when I click next, I get a blank Shadowbox; I suspect because of the Permalink

    1) my Permalinks are set to “/%category%/%postname%”
    2) Gallery->Options “Activate permalinks” options is checked
    3) went back to Permalinks and clicked “Save Changes”

    Other info – under Gallery->Options->Effects:
    1) “JavaScript Thumbnail effect” set to custom
    2) “Link Code line” set to rel=”shadowbox[%GALLERY_NAME%]“

    The Shadowbox effect works well. NextGEN had no problems when I used the defaults Permalink. I changed the Permalink default as described above, it added the code to the htaccess file. I have tried many, many things from disabling NextGEN, removing the MySQL tables, Permalink re-assignments, etc.

    Anyone have any ideas? I really like the plugin.

    Thanks

    I looked through the code and eventually disabled the Shadowbox plugin. Thickbox works with the permalinks and will scroll through the gallery correctly.

    Mandolin,
    I have a similar issue except it’s with displaying the tag cloud. My current wp permalink structure is \index.php\category\post-name\ and it works fine to display the gallery and images. When I introduce a tag cloud, the tag links are missing the index.php required to view them. I think I need to change a htaccess file but I don’t know where to find it. Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    J.
