    I am having an issue with the URLs for Nextgen gallery. I have the gallery embedded into one page and then allow the plugin to create URLs for galleries.

    While in the gallery above, the path is listed as: wp-content/gallery/weddings/

    • The gallery has no parent, but the URL shows a wedding gallery as nested under “pet photos”
    • Each time I add new photos, the number in the URL increases (currently 7)
    • I have one album “Portfolio” with galleries underneath it

    I’ve been through all settings, searched, but not been able to find this same issue (unless I’m using the wrong keywords?). If someone could help me sort out how to better manage this gallery, that would be great. I’d prefer to avoid making a separate page for each one but can do so if allowing this plugin to manage the URLs just does not work.

    Hi @ricketstar,

    First of all, could you please let us know what’s your workflow for creating galleries and albums and if you use Lightroom to manage them?

    Second, please tell us if you’d ever created any album named “Pet Photos” ( and if that album contained these galleries ) that may have gotten renamed at some point.

    We need to specify here that NextGen cannot adjust the albums’ slugs even though the title got changed and that’d usually require re-creating the album and re-linking the galleries or the sub-albums.

    @imagely Thanks for the reply. I am not managing these in lightroom; I do it all manually on the site.

    I likely did have a gallery with that name at a point but honestly do not remember. It would have been some time ago. I did not however put anything under it.

    All this being said, it sounds like the only fix is to delete everything and start over?

    Pro tip for other users who come across this: your best bet is to delete it all and start over. No support unless you buy paid version, so it’s pointless to try. Probably shouldn’t even let free users post in this forum since they won’t help.
