Hi Andre,
It could be from the amount of images and galleries. Did some of the galleries import and some not? Did some images get imported into the media library?
You can import only a select number of galleries at a time, so you could perhaps import a single gallery at a time.
Do you have your site in a staging environment that you could test on?
Let me know
cheers
Hi Bradvin,
I testet only one gallery with about 40 pictures.
Not one picture was imported.
No, I don’t have a staging environment, I tested on my Website.
many greetings
Is your website protected behind a password or similar?
Yes, you have be logged in.
Is that the reason?
Yes, that is the reason. The code tried to “download” the images and if they are not accessible, then you will not be able to do the import.
What type of authentication do you have? Standard WP? If so, then are you using a specific plugin to enable this?
I can try to mimic your setup and see if I can update the importer to get around it by using the security context of the currently logged in user.
That sound good.
I use the authentication from WordPress with the Plugin „members“ from Justin Tadlock.
Should I disable the autentication for the Import-time ?
yes you can try to disable the authentication for a quick test.
How exactly do you configure the auth? I would like to reproduce it locally and test on my side.
Thank you very much for your help.
I can test it at this weekend, I am actually not at home.
I send you the informations.
Okay, I disable the member-plugin. But when I logged me out, I can’t see my site.
I don’t find the setting, where I switch my site to a public site.
Can you help me?
Thanks
I can send you the link and I can give you an admin-access for the test.
If it is okay, please send me your e-mail-address.
Hi Bradvin,
I checked the ftp-path. In the folder ‘uploads’ are many files with only 310 byte.
can you help me?
hi @murmanski
Sorry but I do not know the members plugin so I am not sure how to help you make your site pubic. What do the many files with 310 bytes contain?
You can email me brad @ fooplugins . com and I can try to login to figure out what is going on
I send you an email.
Thank you for your help.
