@kenoconnect, You may want to give an example of the issue with a live URL and the info requested here
@kenoconnect – As @tizz suggested a live site URL where this is happening may be quite helpful.
You can also test to see if this may be a conflict with any currently active plugins, or you current theme as well.

Cheers for feedback. Apologies for posting on other peoples threads – I’m new to forum etiquette and thought if I brainstormed with fellow members it might ease the load for the busy admin gang.
I cant show you live site because I am working on local host.
I have since discovered if I switch to a different theme (twenty thirteen), then widget displays fine, so I guess its theme related.
Do you recommend I contact my theme hosts and ask their advice? (my theme is Gameday)

Yes, you have to contact directly theme’s author, because your is a premium theme and these forums don’t support commercial products.
