NGG + Polylang – Missing gallery description

It seems like the gallery name and gallery description does not get populated correctly in the translation database. As seen on the webpage this has been working before but since then I have been updating both wordpress, plugins and PHP.

I created a complete fresh installation of WordPress (using default theme) and only two plugins active, Polylang and Nextgen gallery to minimize possible errors but still while I create a new gallery only the gallery name ends up in the translation (string) database, not the gallery description.

I started with a support request to that plugin but according to them they havent changed anything regarding this in a while but asked me to “check with Polylang support to see if they perhaps require some changes from our side of things to comply with their requirements.”
