Put in a ticket through their website and got the following response. Updating worked for me, but I did have to go back in to the container tags and re-enter the tag.
I am sorry for the trouble. Custom Class names that contained spaces were inadvertently broken when patching a possible security issue with the Custom Class name fields. Can you update Ninja Forms to version 3.5.8.3 and let us know if you are still seeing the same issues?
In my case, i updated it recently and now everything is correct. i have managed to generate the columns with the one-half first css classes.

I have version 3.5.8.3 but the issue with validation remains.
I’d recommend contacting them through the website — even with the free version for support, they’re pretty quick: https://ninjaforms.com/contact/
If you are still having issues after updating to the latest version of Ninja Forms, can you contact our official support at ninjaforms.com/contact/ so we can help you further troubleshoot.
