Hi, I’m working for a client and we had everything working, until something happened (no clue what, but it’s been at least two months) and we stopped receiving data from Ads and Analytics. Both are connected trough site kit.
The website is a small ecommerce shop and does not receive orders everyday and up to a point ads showed “issues due to no purchases for a long period of time”. After that stopped receiving any data. Analytics was showing data and suddenly stopped showing even visits (we know people visit it by orders placed).
We tried making a different property – still the same issue. Changed countless of times the tags and triggers – no data. Tag assistant fires all tags, but no data is recorded. Debug view does now work even with logged in included. Real time shows no visits as well. Consent Mode is activated trough site kit.
Search console works fine, though.Please, help we’re about to start a new ads campaign and cannot show missing data to the client again.

Thanks for reaching out @wpidl. I checked your site both manually and using the tagassistant.google.com service. From doing so I can see that site visits are recording (screenshot).
I did notice that you have consent mode enabled within Site Kit, however, the code snippet usually placed for this feature is not placed as stanard on your site, and this may be impacting Analytics traffic, although this normally only applies to some regions where consent must be explicitly granted to be counted in Google Analytics traffic. From the reviews I performed on your site, the consent mode code is placed on your site, although moved, likely from your WP Super Cache or other optimization plugin configuration.
From reviewing your site further, I can also see some additional attributes and modifications to the standard Google Analytics snippet placed via Site Kit (screenshot). This could also be impacting Google Analytics, in particular with any such snippers having a
deferattribute.To troubleshoot your case further, please share the following:
- Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
- Do you see any traffic to your site when you visit the Google Analytics real time reporting tool, and visit your own site while not logged in? It’s important that you’re not logged in, as the default configuration of Site Kit is to not include logged in traffic with the snippet placed via the plugin.
- Do you see any traffic for the past few days, or are your traffic stats showing zero?
Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Depending on your responses, we may try to check your site with your optimizations plugins temporarily deactivated, or review your current settings.

3. We’ve been doing tests almost everyday and the data in analylics looks like this. At some point it just stops and mostly we have 2 people(does not show our visits outside admin) with almost no data for them.

Many thanks for sharing the additional details @wpidl. From the screenshot you shared, it looks like you are getting small amounts of traffic, however minimal. This may include no traffic over the past few days from looking at the graph.
To troubleshoot this further, please share a screen recording of what you see when visiting the Google Analytics real time reporting tool, when also visiting a specific page on your site while not logged in. By using a specific page it’s easier to quickly determine that it’s your own site visit being recorded. If you don’t see any visits after a minute, please then disable both WP Super Cache and also JetPack Boost, before reloading your site while not logged in and checking the real time report once more. You can use a service such as Loom to share a screen recording, while using the same form previously used to share this privately.

Your page visit was not recorded. I did turn off both wp cache and jetpack for the weekend and included a graph. There should be more visits, take a look.

Thanks for the update @wpidl. From the screenshot you shared, you are receiving some traffic. Based on the screenshot, the real time reporting tool is also showing traffic. This indicates that the Site Kit placed snippet is working (and placed as expected), although you may be loosing traffic based on your consent management plugin. I say this as I can see you that traffic may not be tracked until a user consents. I would suggest reviewing your CookieYes plugin configuration if you wish to change this, but as it stands, all is working as expected. Note that I mention CookieYes based on your Site Health information, but I do also see some Complianz references when inspecting your site. If you’re using more than one consent management plugin, you may wish to review the settings for all, it’s possible there may be some conflicts.
As you have consent mode enabled within Site Kit, users in some regions, including the EU, won’t be tracked until they consent. I suspect this may be the cause of the lower traffic to your site. These are considerations when enabling consent mode, which is a requirement in such regions.

We’re using only one plugin for consent – we tried switching to complianz to see if anything will change and it did not.
I understand that no traffic will be recorded unless accepting cookies, but even with that – we have significantly more visits, that recorded and tested real time accepting cookies and no visits were shown.I did turn on jetpack today to track visits form there, but from the hosting account data we had 30-80 visits per day during this month and 80% roughly should have accepted cookies, but they were not shown.
I did turn on enhanced data on cookieyes and that will show how many people accept cookies for certain and show you graph of site kit not working correctly. Yesterday we started an ads campaign and that also can show if proper data is being recorded.
@wpidl Thanks for confirming everything. It’s possible that your CookieYes configuration is not quite right. I’d suggest reading through our consent mode guide following the steps to ensure you have this all configured correctly, paying specific attention to the consent management plugins section which mentions CookieYes as a suggested plugin with links to guides on how to set this up to work with Site Kits consent mode.

Hi, we did follow the setup and I did start fresh yesterday as well, yet the visits and purchases are still incorrect.
Yesterday’s data shows no purchase, but we have 1. Additional to that only 5 people visited, but we have 45 according to jetpack. Even if no one accepted cookies, visits would still be showing. Currently google recaptcha is turned off on the website to see if that somehow would make a difference.

@wpidl Thanks for the additional information. I have checked your site using the Google Tag Assistant and can confirm that everything looks as I would expect it to. Consent mode seems to be configured correctly and when visiting your site and granting permissions, I can see them being updated in the Tag Assistant as you can see here.
If you have any further questions on your Analytics then the people at the Analytics Help Center should be able to help with these. From a Site Kit and consent mode perspective, everything now looks as I would expect it to.
