I have been running a WooCommerce store for many years on this site, and taken orders up until around 10am today when the following message now appears? I am unsure what has gone wrong, i have other woocoomerce websites that use the same stripe account and they can take payment ok?

To help us troubleshoot, could you please share a bit more information?
- Have there been any recent changes on the site—such as plugin updates, new plugins installed, or changes to your Stripe account?
- If possible, could you also share a screenshot of what you’re seeing on the checkout page? This will help us better understand the issue. If you don’t already have a screenshot tool installed, Snipboard.io is a quick and easy option you can use.
Additionally, it would be helpful if you could share your current System Status Report:
- Go to WooCommerce > Status.
- Click Get system report, then Copy for support and paste it here in your reply.
If there are any fatal error logs, please include those too. You can find them under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.
Once you’ve gathered this information, you can paste it directly into a Code block here or upload it to pastebin.com and share the link with us.

Hi – I have isolated the problem, it is the update of the plugin from 9.7.1 to 9.8.1, we have rolled it back and all is now ok. What we don’t know is why the error occurred when updating to this plugin. It also slowed our admin console down to almost a stop, taking over 20 seconds to load a page.

Thank you for sharing the error notice and confirming that rolling back resolved the issue. Based on the error, it’s related to the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin. Since reverting to a previous version fixed the problem, it should be relatively straightforward to isolate the cause.
It’s possible that the recent plugin update is conflicting with your theme or another plugin. Determining whether it’s a result of the update itself or a conflict will help guide the fix. I also reviewed your system status report and noticed there are quite a few customizations in place.
To isolate the issue more effectively, could you set up a staging version of your site? You can clone your site to a subdomain and then switch to the Storefront theme. Next, deactivate all other plugins except WooCommerce and WooPayments, then update both to the latest versions.
Once that’s done, check your checkout page again to see if the issue reoccurs. Please share the link to the staging site and its system status report when ready. I’ll be waiting to hear back from you.
