Hi there,
This is interesting… I guess it’s because the SVG isn’t actually an image, it mustn’t hold the caption in it.
I’m looking at adding a whole lot of new stuff to my plugin. A dedicated widget or better integration with the image widget is at the top of the list, so it may be addressed in that development. My plugin doesn’t currently deal with the widget at all, other than being able to use SVG files instead of images. I’m glad you pointed this out, thank you 🙂
In the meantime, you may just need to use a text widget for the captions.

It’s not a big deal. I’ll wait for the update. Glad you’re planning some of this stuff. Would be helpful if the Image widget worked the same for SVG.
For sure, it used to when the image widget was first released.
But to be honest, I literally never use the image widget, so I wouldn’t even notice that change.
PS. Cool site. We did some similar travels a few years back. You’ve got a new follower 🙂

I don’t use it much, but on a few sites that still have a sidebar on the blog, it can come in handy. This is the only one I’ve used it with your plugin.
Thanks man! We’re mostly doing the site for friends and family who don’t do Instagram. Not trying to become insta-famous or anything. But glad to have a new friend and follower.
