• I installed Link Library on my pets-99.com trial site. Then I created 6 categories. I have also created a page “page” as admin with this content:
    [link-library settings = 1]
    [link-library-cats settings = 25]
    [Link-library-search]
    [link-library-addlink settings = 1]

The problem is that the plugin gives me the result: No categories found. And there are no categories.

This is the list of categories I’ve created:
    BIRDS
    28
    Bird and Parrot Links
    birds 0

    Select CATS CATS
    26
    Cat and Kitten Links
    cats 0

    Select DOGS DOGS
    25
    Dog and Canine Links
    dogs 0

Select FISHES & AQUARIUM FISHES & AQUARIUM
    29
    Fish and Aquariums Links
    aquarium fishes-0

    Select HORSES HORSES
    27
    Horse and Equestrian Links
    horses 0

    Select SMALL PETS SMALL PETS
    30
    Small Pets Links
    small-pets 0

    Select WILD ANIMALS WILD ANIMALS
    31
    Wild and Endangered Animals
    wild-animals 0

I tried to create some test links from the link library, and the script saved the category named BIRDS as the category, the first one in alphabetical order. I can not understand why the created categories do not appear on the Link Library page to add new links and are therefore not available to my users. Can someone help me ?

Sorry for the late response. I am not 100% sure I understand what you are trying to achieve.

First off, you listed a bunch of shortcodes at the top of the page. For the second shortcode, you specified settings=25, while you specified settings=1 for the other items. Is 25 the number of the category you wish to display? If so, you should be using the shortcode as follows:

    [link-library settings=”1″ categorylistoverride=”25″]

If you specify settings=”25″, it looks for the 25th library configuration, which probably does not exist on your site.

Everything works correctly with your settings. I wanted to know something about the “reciprocal link” entry. I would like the user who introduces the link to add the link of my site to his site. So exchange the link introduced by the user on my site with the link of my site on his site. Is this the “reciprocal link”? Or is it something else?

I was forgetting. Thank you so much for helping me.

Sorry, missed answering your question. Yes, the reciprocal link field is meant to be used to capture the URL of a page on an external web site that points back to your web site. If you enter the reciprocal link field on your links, you can then use the Link Checking Tools provided with Link Library to external sites point back to your site without having to check each site manually.
