Hi we just downloaded the bbp style add on, found some people with similar issues but none of their solutions worked. None of the changes we make work at all. I’ve changed a bunch of colours randomly to see if they would be shown but so far nothing.

We’re using the jupiter theme, could this be clashing with the add on at all?

Our forum is currently here: http://69.89.31.104/~revelups/forum/

The main thing we want changed is the ‘freshness’ to ‘Last Activity’, I was able to do this on the topics list page by changing the php but changing the php for the forums loop file didn’t seem to change anything.

Any advice on how to get bbpstyle to work?

The jupiter theme says that it is bbpress compatible, and “does its best to have a decent frontend display”

    https://artbees.net/themes/docs/how-jupiter-is-compatible-with-major-plugins/

so I suspect that the templates and other code have been amended, and may well affect what you are trying to do.

what file, what changes and where are you changing the ‘forum lops file’ ?

In the directory wp-content/plugins/bbpress/templates/default/bbpress I changed the files loop-forums.php and loop-topics.php, just changing the string ‘Freshness’ to ‘Last Activity’

For forum it worked, for the topics it didn’t though.

Any idea how to get Jupiter to work with your add on?

    ok,

You will have an issue with upgrades if you directly change those files.

I would suspect that Jupiter might be using their own versions of that.

Have a look in wp-content/theme/Jupiter and see if you have a bbpress directory in there. That would hold any changed files

Thanks you were right changing the files there made the changes I needed.

Is there a file in bbstyle I can change to make them point to the jupiter bbpress instead of the plugin bbpress files so we can use this add on or will we not be able to?

functions from my plugin should work, so some tabs use these.

css changes probably won’t work, or some may and some may not.

probably a case of trial and error and seeing what you can.

Sorry but help with getting a premium theme to work with my plugin is beyond free support
