No confirmation after ‘submit’

After clicking ‘submit’ to send a message, no confirmation is shown (either success or fail) the 3 dots just keep sliding…how to fix?

side note: messages are being sent, with no confirmation message, sender just see’s contact form that doesn’t appear to be functioning properly.
