• The system do show a miniature and the file name of the document, but there are no attachment to the word document I want to display. The size is just 58kb.. is that too mutch. It displays a complex pedegree, so it is difficult to change file type course it will interfer with the branches of the tree. I am a beginner and english is not my native language, so please explain in a simple language, course I am a PC moron. I have of course written [dg] on the site and imported the file through media import. And the display of the miniature is ok, but there is nothing behind it. System sais ” could not find what you are looking for. My server dont support Imagick and Ghostscript. Under Thumbnail Management is shown a stopsign icon. I really hope you can help me. The pedigree is so complicated that I can’t use a normal Gedcom file (for genealogy). from Magsvejr

    Hi Magsvejr,

Let me see if I understand correctly: You are getting a thumbnail in your gallery, but clicking the icon takes you to a server error page (“could not find what you are looking for”). Is that correct?

Can you show me a URL to the page where you’re seeing this? It sounds like another plugin may be playing with attachment paths, but looking at where this issue is may help me narrow down where the issue is coming from.

    Thanks!

Yes that is right. My site is not yet online, I still need to finish a lot of writing. But I have only have these plugin’s; “BackUpWordPress”, “Document Gallery” (Yours),”Pretty Pinterest Pins”,”Rootspersona” and “Slideshow”. Nothing else.
The “could not find” appers when I press at the W(word)icon, or file name underneath, to open the document.

Ok. In order to test this theory, what I’d like you to do is disable all of your plugins except for Document Gallery and switch to a default theme (Twenty Thirteen, for example). Once you’ve done that, if the bad behavior you’re seeing stops (gallery links start working), then you know it was one of the things you just disabled. If that turns out to be the case, the next step is to re-enable the plugins you just disabled one-by-one, each time checking to see if the gallery links are broken, then finally switch back to your current theme.

If that doesn’t turn up a culprit, the next thing I would like to see is the URL being pointed to by the gallery icon (ie: where does clicking the icon take you when you click it).

PS: If you’ve found this plugin useful, please take a moment to rate it. Thanks! 🙂
