Hi @tempomat
Thanks for reaching out and sharing your concerns!
You’re absolutely right that being able to back up or transfer feed data is important, especially when preparing for a major update like the v5 migration.
To help with this, you can refer to our guide here for exporting and importing your feed items:
How to Export/Import Feed Items
Additionally, please rest assured that during the v5 migration process, all your v4 data remains stored safely on your site. If anything doesn’t go as expected, you can roll back to v4 anytime. Just go to Aggregator > Settings > Advanced, scroll down to the Migration Recovery Options section, and click the “Roll back to v4” button.
As an added precaution, we also recommend backing up your entire site before migrating. This ensures that your content remains secure and recoverable, helping to minimize downtime and prevent data loss.
Let me know if you have any other questions. I’m happy to help further! 🙂
Thank you for this, but the free version has no export of feeds, just settings…
O.k. there is a misleading Workflow, same link structure is within the plugin, found out you refere to WP Tools….
Hi @tempomat
Thanks again for your follow-up, and I completely understand where the confusion came from.
Just to clarify: exporting and importing feed items is indeed available in the free version of Aggregator. The feature uses WordPress’s built-in import/export tools, since feed items are stored as a custom post type.
