Is there a video or line by line tutorial on how to add the short code for those of us with templates that no longer allow widgets due to blocks.

All of the shortcodes can be found here – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/shortcodes/

For sorting widget, you still need to have a widget area. You can add widget area via custom code or any plugin.
