no .htaccess value validating

    Hi,

    I just noticed something.

    If you setup Ithemes security and enable items which update the .htaccess file (like ‘Disable Directory Browsing’) the dashboard will show you have successfully secured that item.

    If, for whatever reason, you need to revert your .htaccess file manually (removing the ‘secured’ item), Ithemes security still shows that item as ‘secured’.

    Ithemes security is not validating the .htaccess file to check if modifications are still in effect, and creating a false sense of security.
