Hi there, I apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge on this, but I was trying to update our website TheCountrySip.com with a new theme, which included two menus, one above and one below our logo, which didn’t look good. I found a code online to remove the top menu but when I added it to the editor, it didn’t remove it, so I deleted the code and figured I’d try it again some other time. When I deleted it, I got this error message

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’ in /home1/savesoca/public_html/thecountrysip.com/wp-content/themes/protopress/inc/customizer.php on line 1003

and now am unable to even get into the dashboard to edit it and try to remove the ‘.’ on that line. I’d appreciate anyone’s assistance in helping me get this resolved since our site is currently down because of this. Thanks for your time!

  • You’ll need to remove that theme manually – by using FTP or Cpanel to access your site files on the server- ask your hosting company for help if you don’t know how to use those.

Once you have that set up, find the theme here:

    Sorry, wasn’t finished –

Thank you WPyogi, apparently in the meantime since I posted the question, my partner on the site had her husband look it over and he was able to do exactly what you mentioned. Thanks for the help!
