• Hi,

I tried using the CBR free version and set it up in WooCommerce. In the woocommerce settings I configured the default customer location to “No location by default.”

I have products available for purchase only in specific countries, and I manage three different warehouses: EU, US, and INT. I need to specify which products can be sold to specific countries, so I set up the plugin with product restrictions for selected countries, ensuring that products available only in the EU or US warehouses are correctly assigned. For EU producta I set up: product available for selected countries and I selected all EU countries etc..

In the plugin settings, I have unchecked the “Force Geolocation” option. However, the plugin still seems to be detecting some location. I want to ensure that not-logged-in customers have “No location by default.” I do not want to use geolocation or store location, but the plugin is still taking some location into and showing some products not available for order for not logged in customers.

I would like guest customers to see all products and prices without location restrictions, and then specify what is or isn’t possible to order during checkout or once the customer logs in or setup address. I have also deactivated the cache plugin, but there has been no change.

Can you help me with this? Thank you so much!

    Hi @lowk81,

In our plugin, if you uncheck the Force Geolocation setting, it will use the default country set in your store as the shipping country.

    Thanks,
    Kuldip

it is still doing restrictions. Also with this setup

If I set up a country as the store address and choose “Default customer location: Shop country/region,” then your plugin works properly. However, if I set it to “No location by default,” the plugin defaults to an incorrect location that isn’t even based on my IP address. Additionally, when I use geolocation in the plugin setup, it works as expected.

but No location by default in woocommerce and unchecked forced geolocation in CBR – not working..

I have this setup since beginning – how I mentioned in the first message.

In the woocommerce settings I configured the default customer location to “No location by default.”

In the plugin settings, I have unchecked the “Force Geolocation” option.

    Hi @lowk81,

If Force Geolocation is disabled, the country is determined based on the shipping country.
Please open your website in an incognito or guest window and proceed to the checkout page to verify the defualt shipping country.

Let me know if the country is still incorrect.

    Thanks,
    Kuldip

    hi @kuldipzorem,

There is no default shipping country at checkout, but the plugin is still restricting products, even not based on the real IP address. When I setup UK VPN – I am still not able to add to cart products that are available for UK.

I have set up most products to be available for selected countries, and these are restricted in this setup. It is only possible to add to the cart products that have no restrictions in your plugin, specifically those marked as available for all countries.

    Hi @lowk81,

We are currently getting the customer’s country from geolocation if no country is set in the shipping address. To avoid this, please ensure the Default Customer Location option under WooCommerce → Settings → General is set to either Shop base address or Geolocate, and not set to “No location by default”. This will help prevent unwanted restrictions caused by geolocation.

Let me know if you need help updating this setting.

    Thanks,
    Kuldip
