Recently, this plugin has stopped working as intended. I have never had issues with it over the years, but now I cannot get it to function correctly at all.

The first new issue that seems to have arisen is that this plugin now conflicts with my theme’s core plugin, the “GoodLayers Core” plugin for the Inifinite theme by GoodLayers. The button to choose an icon no longer appears on the Menu editor in Appearance > Menus.

    See screenshot: https://pasteboard.co/0OHT5LyP1i99.png

I can tell that these two plugins are conflicting because when I turn off the GoodLayers Core plugin, the button for selecting an icon from this plugin reappears. This is weird, because this plugin has never conflicted with this theme before for the many years I have been using these two plugins together. However, even once the button for selecting an icon successfully reappears with the theme plugin deactivated, none of the settings in the “Menu Icon Settings” interface actually affect the SVG icon that appears next to the menu item. The icon just stays tiny regardless of what settings I enter into the Menu Icon Settings

    See screenshot of settings: https://pasteboard.co/uBrkqMCsVv60.png

See screenshot of the SVG image that is being used in the menu: https://pasteboard.co/eikrkuRWNrlI.png

So even with or without my theme plugin conflicting, the Menu Icons plugin does not work correctly.

Is there any word on this? 🙂

    Hi @emite!

    Sorry for the delayed response!

Unfortunately we are not able to check the conflict or debug this issue on our end since the theme you mentioned is a premium one, so please try to contact the theme’s authors about this.

    Have a nice day!

Hi there, thanks responding about the theme. I have reached out to the theme developer for further troubleshooting.

What about the second part of my question?

`However, even once the button for selecting an icon successfully reappears with the theme plugin deactivated, none of the settings in the “Menu Icon Settings” interface actually affect the SVG icon that appears next to the menu item. So even without my theme plugin conflicting, the Menu Icons plugin does not work correctly.`

    Thanks!

    Hi @emite,

I tested the sgv image as a menu icon and it works.
Please see this screencast for reference: https://vertis.d.pr/T5ljMO

I suggest you test this as well on your end but on a different theme.

    Hope this helps.

Ah, it looks like I was trying to edit the Mobile Menu instead of the desktop menu which is why the changes were not appearing.

I apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your time.

We’re glad to hear the issue is fixed now, thanks for letting us know!

Update for posterity: I reached out to the theme developer about the first part of the question and they were able to fix the conflict so the menu shows everything correctly now!
