No Page 2

    No “Page 2” is being created although I have 6 published posts. /page/2 comes up as a 404.

    I tried switching the theme to use a static front page and to use a “Blog” page for the posts. Then it worked. It created /blog/page/2 and the posts appeared.

    Wondering why /page/2 is a 404 otherwise. I’d like to use the default front page.

    I have posts published so that can’t be the issue. Currently I have the 4 default posts on the main page. I have added 2 more. I have set Reading Settings to display 2 latest posts (which apparently doesn’t affect the front page). Still no go.

    Apparently my number of test posts to fill up the front page were too low. Looking at Functions.php you need at least 10 posts for the pagination to work.
