No Plugins, Widgets, or Editor tabs

    I am looking to take over the support of a self hosted WordPress website (Not at wordpress.com). I have been given an ID with admin access but do not have the Plugins, Widgets, or Editors tabs.

    Any ideas?

    It looks like your user account doesn’t have sufficient rights.

    Perhaps ask the original owner for an account with administrator rights.

    I would agree, but my account is setup with administrator rights (Users=Administrator)

    Are you able to do any other administrative things? Add users, for example? Do you see the Appearance or Settings tabs at all?

    I’ve seen situations where a user account was just named “administrator”, but didn’t really have WordPress administrator rights, so make sure that’s not the case here.

    Yes, I was able to add a new administrator ID, but that ID also has the same issues.

    My guess is there might be a plugin active that’s keeping you from doing actual administrator actions, but if you’re not able to see the plugins, then that would be a vicious circle… :-/
