No preview using WordPress Customize option

    I am using Easy Google Fonts with WP 3.7.1, Genesis 2.0.1 and a child theme, Foodie 1.0.2 (www.shaybocks.com). Overall the EGF plug-in works, except that when I view the site and use the WP editor menu and select “Customize”, the preview of the site loads after a few moments, then disappears. I have to toggle between the blank screen mode with the Customize menu visible and another browser window with the site visible.

    This is the case using Firefox 25.0.1 and Safari 5.1.10 (on Snow Leopard — Yeah, I KNOW already.).

    Of note, I’ve disabled the Google Fonts code in the Foodie theme to eliminate a possible conflict, but that had no effect.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi Jodeo,
    That sounds like a theme specific problem to me. Does the customizer work when the Easy Google Fonts plugin is disabled?

    This plugin has been coded in such a way that it should not conflict with any theme. You do not need to disable any google fonts code in the foodie theme, it should just work.

    Please let me know if the customizer works when our plugin is disabled and we can take it from there. Thanks for reaching out!

    As I have not heard back from you regarding this issue I will have to close this thread. As your question is not directly related to this plugin and is a theme issue you will have to contact the theme author to get your customizer issue resolved. Thanks

    It does appear to be a different plug-in causing the problem but I haven’t fully isolated which one. Feel free to close this thread as the problem doesn’t appear to be your plug-in. Sorry for the trouble, for not disabling other plug-ins first.

    I’m having the same problem with the Foodie theme. I am on WordPress 3.9. The customise option works with Easy Google Fonts is disabled though
