This is determined by your theme. EDD is designed to have minimal impact on the design / layout of the site (though adding automatic price display is on my todo list).
You can use the [edd_price] short code to show the price in the content area.
Hmmm. Good to know I can get a price in but I really think the price should show up somewhere by default. I can’t have clients using it and having to put in short codes. I’ll check back in on it some other time if I don’t find anything else.
I can write you a quick update to show the price. Do you have a suggestion for how the price should be displayed?
Well the “Add to Cart” button shows up by default so maybe stick it beside that!?
I’ve been considering adding it to the button by default, so to the right or left of the button text. Thoughts?
Has to be left. Jesus you’re fast..
Any reason why it has to be on the left?
Same reason logos are on the left? It’s how most of us read, left to right. See the price first, then buy.
Thanks, makes sense. I’ll add it in.
Actually one thing I was thinking about was adding a price template that you could use in the short code / button text. Something like {price}. That way a user could choose to not use it.
Thoughts on that approach?
Yep, that would do if it was in by default.
Great, I’m going to get it in the next version.
