We looked into this and it doesn’t seem like a bug. It was just a temporary issue with the backend and it has been fixed. Please try backing up your website again and everything should go real smooth 🙂

Well I just updated your plug in to the latest version.
After several hours running it is still no better, no progress showing at all
still “syncing database 0/35 tables ”
I tested another plug in that backed up my wP site quickly to dropbox so whatever the issue
something is definitely not right as yours unfortunately is far from “real smooth” for me.

I deactivated the plug in and reactivated with the latest version.
It appears to be working now. The first back up was made successfully to Google Drive.
I will monitor the situation as further backup attempts are made.
