No root domain available for Multisite

    I need to create a wordpress network where each blog will be a subdomain (later to have a TLD mapped) however the network manager ‘blog’ needs to also be a subdomain of my TLD. I have not been able to find instructions, if this is supported, or how to go about configuring it.

    Ex:

    cucumber.com is the TLD and I need manager.cucumber.com to be the network manager/main install and to have blogs rawesome.cumcumber.com and rterrible.cucumber.com while leaving cucumber.com alone.

    More Info:

    cucumber.com will be managed by a separate department/server farm and the wordpress network will be under my purview. All must be branded under the cucumber.com domain, so I can edit DNS records to point the subdomains to the wordpress network machine for processing. I am aware that I can have the wordpress network machine answer headers received for rawesome.cucumber.com and a TLD (awesomecumber.com) but I need to know how to prep these steps.
