alright I think I got it.. seems like I need to first add a shortcode manually. then I’m able to select those..
my bad..
but a different problem appears to me. when I create a shortcode. for example ‘list’ view.
I actually chose the modern list view. but somehow it does not apply.
when I use the shortcode it will be displayed as ‘standard’ view, although I did not choose that. already tried two times.
can you help me why that is the case?

Hello @karlmann,
Please follow the steps explained in this article:
https://webnus.net/dox/modern-events-calendar/making-advanced-shortcodes-in-modern-events-calendar/
Note 1: if you have any cache plugin or server cache(CDN / Browser Cache and Cookies and …), you need to clear its cache contents or disable them to see your changes. Also, if you are using Elementor, please don’t forget to click on the regenerate all assets file and data in Elementor > Tools.
Note 2: You can import shortcodes and events from MEC Wizard:
https://webnus.net/dox/modern-events-calendar/introducing-wizard/
Best Regards
hi,
thanks for your assistance. but for some reason only the ‘standard’ view is working for me.
I actually chose modern style: https://prnt.sc/iVswpRg6-3k8
I also tried all the other styles and cleared cache. but it stays with the standard view on front end. I’m not using elementor, I simply created a page and added the shortcode, without elementor.
any idea why I cannot change the style?

Hello @karlmann,
We examined the information you provided but there was no problem in MEC. No other user has reported this. Have you deactivated all other plugins? did you check this issue in a clean environment? Most probably the issue is because of a conflict with one or more other plugins. You need to deactivate them one by one and find out the issue.
Also always keep MEC up to date.
