No Slider Tab / Incomplete Theme Layout

I’m running WooThemes Canvas 2.6 on Framework 3.7.14.

First, my framework doesn’t have a “Sliders” tab? Shouldn’t there be one? If not how do I make make image sliders – I don’t want the slider to show a page, but rather show an image that links to a page.

Second, I’m edit the widgetized footers in the Canvas theme. I only want one widetized footer instead of 4. However, there is no footer layout selection under Canvas > Theme Options > Layout. Is this a question that I need to address to WooThemes instead?

Please help, this is my first site and I need to get this site launched pretty soon. I’m by no means a pro.
