No thumbnail in preview

It used to work fine, but after the latest WordPress update, it stopped working. I’ve tested the plugin on various themes. The problem is that the comment doesn’t display the image, only the link, which opens in a new tab. Furthermore, it seems like the plugin settings have no effect whatsoever.
