    BASIC: AN IRRESPONSIBLE WORDPRESS THEME?

    There is this nice little theme I found that is not full of bloat. The file structure is simple enough to allow for the construction of a reasonably priced child theme.

    But, with the recent WordPress core updates, I was surprised to find out that this theme has not been updated since July. Today, I was further surprised to find out that it actually does have an updated version, but it seems that it is only available in the paid version.

    Developers have the right to be paid for their work, but to release a free version of a theme and not provide updates is just plain irresponsible. They have the right to abandon the theme too, but then they should withdraw it from the WordPress repository.

    I will see if the theme authors can correct my impression!

    Thank you for your message, it is very important and helpful for us!

    We are releasing updates in both versions and publish its simultaneously when have necessary and without any time dependency. Moreover, to according with the terms of paid version all features will be added to the free version in the future.
