    Hi,

When I click on Posts to edit one an error box pops up that says “from ‘website’: undefined.” Also, the visual editor option has vanished; I’m only able to edit in textual editor. None of this affects the display–the posts still display ok. But I would like to edit in visual editor once again.

I’ve tried deactivating the Plug-Ins, and the “undefined” error message goes away (so obviously that’s connected to one of the Plug-ins) but the visual editor didn’t reappear.

    Any ideas?

  • Have you tried it in all browsers to eliminate caching or browser issues?

Also, try changing the theme, see if that makes any difference.

When all else fails, go to Dashboard -> Updates and click “Re-install Now” under WordPress Updates

Thanks for the suggestions. Tried them all.

Same result. Still “undefined.” And no visual editor.

I remember a friend who told me once his visual editor disappeared (but text editor was still there) because he had AdBlock enabled in his browser, so maybe if you have adblock of any kinda installed in your browser try disabling it for your site.

    Hadn’t though of that.
Tried it out. No go. Same issue. Thanks, though.

I assume you’ve checked the error_log and there is nothing out of the ordinary happening? No errors being registered like memory limit?

I’ve had issues with memory before – these visual plugins can consume a bit of memory

try increasing wp memery limit :

also try deactivating all plugins at the same time
