no wp-content file
-
I’m starting to think blogger would have been a lot easier for me to use. I’m new to making a website, a blog, using “code”, and everything related to the aforementioned. WordPress looks great and I am amazed with what other people have done with it. However, I don’t want to “outgrow” blogger and have to “upgrade” to wordpress down the road. I am committed to learning how to utilize this wonderful free software from the get-go so my blog/website will someday be as great as the many others I have seen.
This could be only the second of many stupid questions that I might ask. I’ll keep coming back and trying to learn.
Onto the question…
I installed wordpress through bluehost.com and apparently it installs version 2.3.2.
I went to install a plug in, but there is no wp-content folder on my hosting side of my ftp transfer.
I unzipped a copy of wordpress in explorer and transfered the wp-content folder containing themes, plug ins, and index.php from my hard drive to my hosting site.
Next I tried to transfer ftp redirectify.php from my harddrive to my hosting site but it doesn’t show up on my dashboard in plug in management. What’s the problem?
