    Instead of a zip file I get a strange email (firs some lines see below).

    Hi,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    Are you trying to send backup file to email? Email providers (like Gmail , Outlook…) set the file size limitation of your attachment file to the max of 25MB, so in case the backup file is larger than that, it will fail.

    If this is not the case, can you please elaborate on the issue? When does it happen, and where do you see the error? You may send the screenshot demonstrating the same.

    Hi 

    The provider sets no limit, but the problem persists. Each time a database report is sent by email, I get some weird lines and now zip file in the appendix. Below are the first few lines of the email an further down the debug info. 

    I get the weird email instead of an email looking like one I get from another WordPress site hosted by the same provider; this looks like "Sicherungsdatei: 2024-12-22_22-01-39_PMUGRJ4401.zip" containing the zip file in its appendix.

    Can you try toggling the option in the email settings here: https://shottr.cc/s/1FTo/SCR-20250107-t6dp.png?

    The issue could happen because of a few reasons:

    • The email client or server may not be properly decoding the MIME format email.
    • The mail server on your hosting provider might have restrictions or issues with how attachments are handled or encoded.

    If the above does not help, you may want to contact email server support to investigate this.
