On my new site, being created on Laragon, I am attempting to make several parent menu items non clickable. I am building with pages and not posts. From searches and another post I get the following solution:
“To have a non clickable menu, at the right hand side of the menu interface, locate custom links and put # as the URL of the menu, put menu navigation label and add it among your menus. Drag the menu items you want to have as sub menu under it and move them a bit to the right and save your menu.

That’s how you create a non clickable parent menu.”

However, when I go to Appearance>Menus>Pages all items are greyed out. When I go to Appearance>Menus>Custom Links they too are greyed out so that I am unable to add the # under URL. Any advice would be appreciated.

  • Hi @dougj2,

The greyed out ‘Add Menu Items’ section that you want to configure gets enabled only after you create a menu.
Can you please confirm if you have already added a menu and are still not able to edit the ‘Add Menu Items’ section?

Hi there, if possible then kindly share a screenshot of the issue to understand it properly.

Share a screenshot of this page => Appearance>Menus> and then click on the “Custom Links” and then take a screenshot
