Hello, we are looking for a way to protect our pdfs in a membership site. We want people to be able to open a pdf and read it, but not download it to their hard drive. Is that possible with this plugin?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @thalagraphics,

Thanks for reaching out to us last night.

Yes, you can protect your PDF files against download with our PDA Gold and Watermark WordPress Files plugins.

Our plugins will auto-generate private expiring links to display the PDF files into the content. Here is a demo on how to protect WordPress PDF Files.

To assist you better, may we know:

    1. Where are you hosting your files now and what’s the average file size?
    2. Who do you want to grant file access to?
    3. Which membership plugin are you using?
    4. Do you plan to display multiple PDF files on one page?

Please send us a sample file URL to take a look at.

We are currently using Memberpress. We are hosting with secure server (godaddy). Anyone who has purchased a membership should be able to view the files but not download them. We do not plan to display multiple files on one page. The pdfs are approx. 1-3mb.

Do we need both plugsins since memberpress already protects the files? Could we do this with only the watermark plugin?
