I don’t get many comments on my blog, so I was kind of excited to have one to respond to today. Unfortunately, my reply fails every time with the “Nonce verification failed” error. I have no idea what this means, and Google didn’t turn up anything for me. Any help on how to fix this is appreciated.

Looking at your site, you use hemingway-rewritten-wpcom theme.

Unfortunately, Your currently used theme could not be found in the ww.wp.xz.cn/themes/ directory, as far as I can see.

If this was a custom theme, you may have to go back to your developer team and ask them to make the necessary change(s) to the theme.

If you use a commercial theme or plugin and need support, please go to their official support channel. In order to be good stewards of the WordPress community, and encourage innovation and progress, we feel it’s important to direct people to those official locations.

Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme or plugin is not working properly. This is one other reason why volunteers forward you to the commercial product’s vendors. The vendors are responsible for supporting their commercial product. Commercial products are not supported in these forums.

If this is child theme of ‘hemingway’, I recommend asking at https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/theme/hemingway, so its developers and support community can help you with this.

After a bit of sleuthing, it seems that this theme is available in the ww.wp.xz.cn/themes/ directory, but *only* for blogs hosted at ww.wp.xz.cn. I’ll post my question over in the Themes forum, which is where the support link points.

    Thanks for your help!

Just to follow up on this in case anyone else runs into this problem, it turns out that Jetpack was causing the issue, and disabling that plugin allowed me to respond to comments.

    Glad its sorted 🙂

We’re having this problem too with jetpack comments. Not an option to turn off jetpack as we have too many followers at stake. Any suggestions?
