Normal Link misinterpreted as an icon

This is an amazing plugin, however, I observed the following problem: a simple link on my site that goes href=”http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2015/1/5/freebie-dashel-icon-set-svg-psd-png” is interpreted as an icon. The lightbox opens, the wheel is spinning shortly, eventually – depending on the browser used – a questionmark or an empty field is displayed in the center. Of course, the link should just open the linked page, not trigger an overlay. Problem occurs both in Firefox and Safari.
